Dr. Davidson has served as a tenured Professor of
Management at the School of Business, University of Southern California, and as
a National Partner with Deloitte & Touche Management Consulting. Bill founded MESA
Inc.,
a management consulting firm acquired by Deloitte & Touche in 1996. He has also
served as a director for several public companies, and as an advisor to several
start-up ventures.
An active researcher and writer, he was acknowledged as the most widely cited academic in the field of international
management during the 1985-1995 decade. His book 2020 Vision (with Stan
Davis) was selected as the Best Business Book of the year by Fortune Magazine in
1992. He has written several other books on management, including Managing
the Global Corporation and The Amazing Race. Bill recently completed
his latest book, Breakthrough (John
Wiley and Sons, 2003).
He earned an A.B. in economics, an M.B.A. and a doctorate
in business administration, all from Harvard University. He lives in Palos
Verdes, California with his three sons.
Dr. Anderson is Vice President and Practice Leader for
Mesa Research. Dr. Anderson has consulted on business and financial strategies
for numerous emerging growth companies as well as Fortune 1000 companies.
Prior to joining MESA, he has served as a director and Vice President of Technology for Interack
Communications, a communications equipment manufacturer, and as President of DataGuard Communications, a supplier of advanced communications data processing
technologies. Prior to these positions, Dr. Anderson has over 12 years of
management, marketing and product development experience in the defense industry
at Hughes Aircraft Company and as Principal Scientist with Science and Applied
Technology Corporation.
Dr. Anderson holds a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Southern California. He has published papers on
automatic target recognition and holds patents in radar signal
processing.
Cam is a partner at MESA Research
Group. His work focuses on assisting leaders and management teams to revise
future directions and opportunity amid the turbulence of personal,
organizational, and societal change. His research has appeared in the
Academy of Management Executive, Human Resource Development Quarterly,
Business Horizons, and The American Benedictine Review.
He has designed or conducted executive development programs for 3M, Anthem,
AT&T, BP, British Airport Authority, Boston Scientific, Bristol-Myers
Squibb, Cinergy, Dow Chemical, EDS, Eli Lilly & Co., FedEx, Ingersoll-Rand,
Lucent Technologies, Manitowoc, Monsanto, The Nature Conservancy, Phillips
Electronics, Prudential (London) Rolls-Royce, Saudi Aramco, Shell
International (London), Sara Lee, UTi Worldwide, and Xerox.
Cam has conducted workshops on
executive development in Eastern Europe, Middle East, India, and Southeast
Asia and served as the Project Coordinator of the MUCIA/USAID Management
Training and Economics Education Program in Central and Eastern Europe.
He developed the Global Leadership Partnership for Executive Development, a
joint venture between
the Kelley School of Business and INSEAD. He is currently director of the Global Leadership Program, a
consortium of companies on 3 continents focused on development and delivery
of a senior executive leadership programs.
Cam’s background includes 20 years in charge of executive education at the
Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He also was a speechwriter
for the President of Indiana University and a member of the faculty at the
U.S. Air Force Academy. Cam received a B.A. in Classical Studies from the
University of Kansas, a Medieval Studies Certificate and an M.A. in English
Literature from Indiana University. He is an alumnus of the Monroe
Institute Gateway and Guidelines Programs (1994 and 1996,
respectively), the Xerox Middle Management Program (1990), the American
Center for International Leadership US-USSR Exchange Program (1985),
and the U.S. Air Force Squadron Officer School (in residence - 1981)
Mr.
Leskin was most recently the Chief Learning Office for ChevronTexaco, where he
was responsible for human resources management and development covering 53,000
employees. His portfolio also covered global talent management, executive
succession, performance management and organizational effectiveness. Prior to
ChevronTexaco, Barry was partner and Chief Learning Office for Ernst & Young in
the UK. He was one of the early consultants in the GE workout program, and has
worked as a consultant for many other Fortune 500 companies. Barry also served
for a decade as the chairman of the Management and Organization department at
USC and has held HR leadership positions at APL and Sunoco.
Mr. Leskin holds bachelors
and masters degrees from Temple University. His principal interests are in
people strategy, performance management, HRM systems and processes and learning
systems.
Ms. Mandell has been a senior executive with over 20
years of diverse experience in sales, marketing, services, and strategic
planning for information technology and voice processing companies.
She spent 15 years with IBM Corporation, holding
positions in services, marketing, sales, and strategic planning. During her
tenure at IBM, she launched IBM’s entry into Electronic Data Interchange,
working with business partners & customers to propel IBM into a leadership
position. She then became Vice President of Strategy for Xerox’s $2 billion
Printing Systems Division, where she was responsible for moving them into the
market for high-end LAN connected systems.
In 1995, Ms. Mandell became Senior Vice President, Octel
Corp, where she had responsibility for their outsourcing business. After
managing the integration effort for the Lucent/Octel merger, she joined Mesa
Research Group to head its marketing strategy practice. Ms. Mandell’s areas of
specialization include marketing strategies, channel planning, business
development and team building.
Prior to joining
Mesa, Mr. Garfein was the
founder of RPM Systems Corporation. Since 1979 RPM has assisted
organizations, both public and private, in the implementation of enterprise
program management (EPM) systems. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Garfein was the
consultant to Microsoft during the initial development and launch of
Microsoft Project, and continues to work closely with them today on future
versions of their EPM applications.
Prior to founding RPM, Mr. Garfein was a member of the team
that developed and fielded the Army’s Apache Helicopter, with
responsibilities that included establishing the company’s enterprise program
management system and developing one of the first online, real-time remote
program management systems – prior to the invention of the Internet – for
control of major subcontractors.
He earned a B.S. in Business from UCLA, and an executive MBA
from the University of
Southern California.
